About

Christine Almeida is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine and practices Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture.  Christine graduated from a 4-year intensive program at the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) with a Master degree in Acupuncture.

Her practice includes Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, gentle needling techniques, non-insertive acupuncture techniques for very sensitive patients, Tuina massage, and cupping. Patients come to Christine for a variety of ailments, including musculo-skeletal pain, sciatica, migraines, and digestive disorders. She specializes in managing symptoms resulting from immune disorders such as fibromyalgia and lupus.

In her words:  “I found acupuncture while searching for a cure to chronic pain from TMJ (a jaw injury) that I faced when playing the oboe in graduate school striving to become a professional musician.  The pain spread all over my face, head and most of my body. Not only did it challenge my dream of having a career in music, it also severely decreased my quality and enjoyment of life.  Acupuncture was the cure I was looking for! As I explored my own healing, I fell in love with acupuncture and realized that healthcare is my true calling!  I spend my days practicing acupuncture and guiding patients and friends on exercise, diet, and meditation.  Leading my own healthy lifestyle energizes me to serve my patients and these experiences, both personally and professionally, have deepened my respect for both eastern and western medicine.  I passionately believe in acupuncture as a form of preventative medicine to help patients live the best quality of life possible.”
